The socioeconomic disruptions caused by the failures in controlling viral spread in light of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused the disordered functional collapse of educational infrastructure. As a result of these disruptions, we designed a performing arts high-school sited in urban historic Sharjah, keeping in mind the challenges of designing for resilience to contagion, namely that of circulation. We decided to combat issues of population density within the program with sparsity of program, using strategies of fragmentation to scatter the elements of the program across all four sites. The project manifested itself as a campus typology with visual and spatial connections that tie it together across all four sites.
