Visual Communication

Graduating Class 2019-2020
College of Architecture, Art, and Design

The Visual Communication program introduces students to a ‘culture of making’ through specialized classes in design topics, such as typography, illustration, printmaking, photography and publication design for print and digital media. Visual Communication graduates work within various fields of the creative industry. They are graphic designers, art and creative directors in advertising agencies, developing and overseeing the development of visual solutions such as brand identity, information graphics, posters, brochures, print collateral, web design, and motion graphics. Having learned about the business and creative aspects of running a design firm, many choose to start their own creative companies and thrive in local and regional markets, setting and influencing new trends and serving as leaders within creative industry.
